The following is the rules and guidelines for ÆSL Division players.
Player Rules
A. Respect:
Players are to refrain from racism, hostile vulgarity, sexism, bigotry language during sessions of play under ÆSL tournaments, ÆSL open play or any game style affiliated with ÆSL.
Players are to refrain from slandering another opponent or team.
Players are to refrain from "Hackusations" against an opponent or team.
Players are to refrain from heckling, promoting or starting riotous acts with viewers and other players to distract an opponent.
Players are to have appropriate usernames and profiles.
No vulgarity in usernames, implied or otherwise.
No open nudity in profile pictures or images depicting overly mature content.
No hostile vulgarity or overly mature content in a player's profile.
Players are to remain silent during an opponent's national anthem.
Players are to keep decorum with the announcers, coordinators and viewers of game play.
Game Coordinators may pause, terminate or give forfeiture to a game in which one or both teams fails to practice the aforementioned rules.
Game Coordinators may hand out bans according and well representing of any wrongdoing by a player or team.
B. Honesty:
Players may not use external assistance or inhuman guidance during any play of ÆSL.
Players may not place bets or wager in ÆSL matches or tournaments that they themselves are a part of.
Should a Premier or Civitas player wager on any ÆSL match or tournament that he/she is not participating in a legal note should be made to protect the player should an issue of impropriety arise.
Players or teams are forbidden from "throwing" matches or games for any gain.
Players may not use modified equipment during sessions of play or change their equipment during a match.
Should it be required that equipment be changed out due to issues with the device players must, in detail, describe the change being made.
Should it be required that equipment be changed a timeout will be called and after 30 seconds of game play the player will have the option to exchange his/her device.
Players have a right to appeal a game should they suspect cheating on the other team.
Players must wait until the match in question is finished and at day's end (10pm EST) to submit their appeal.
Game Coordinators may pause, terminate or give forfeiture to a game in which one or both teams fails to practice the aforementioned rules.

C. Loyalty:
Players in competition may only play for one team at a time.
Players may not change teams during tournament play and must wait until the trading season to do so.
Players who are given monies to switch teams must submit a document to the ÆSL Game Coordinators as to the sum given for accurate and fair accountability.
Players or teams are forbidden from paying players or teams to not compete or to drop out of tournament play.
Players may participate in ÆSL tournaments as well as other organizations as long as proper documentation is given to ÆSL game Coordinators.
Premier or Civitas players may refuse to be traded to a team.
If a player is to be released from a roster the player should receive 2 weeks notice of any contract cancellation.
Players may freely choose to leave a team at any given point and server a 2 week notice of contract cancellation.
These rules (Updated Last 2/29/2020) are official and are nonnegotiable or open for interpretation.
